While visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we saw newly installed “tip boards”, that will eventually be used to display your “Boarding Group” when crowds demand the use of the system. For more on the virtual queue, check out our earlier post.
We’re in the final days of relative calm at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney is preparing for the use of a virtual queue system like what was used out in Disneyland. While Disney has, surprisingly, remained silent on the logistics of opening day, we reported that a virtual queue system will be used. Disney has yet to confirm the use of a virtual queue.
We found displays in two different areas, one is located on the way to the main entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Grand Avenue. The display is located next to the Indiana Jones truck merchandise area.
We spotted a second display on the pathway to the entrance to Toy Story Land. Right now, the boards display wait times, but we anticipate that they will be used in an informational capacity for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge starting this Thursday.
