REVIEW: Olaf Frozen Hot Chocolate Cake and Holiday Cinnamon Roll at Main Street Bakery

Welcome to a review of the holiday treats at Magic Kingdom! We’ll be running around Magic Kingdom today, trying some of the treats and eats available during the holiday season at the park. Let’s take a look at some of the treats you can find at the Main Street Bakery (Starbucks)! Everything we review here is available daily, and NOT a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party exclusive.

Olaf Frozen Hot Chocolate Cake – $6.99

Gluten-friendly chocolate cake layered with chocolate crispy pearls, chocolate panna cotta, and marshmallow fluff

Without a doubt, the Olaf Frozen Hot Chocolate Cake is the single Magic Kingdom holiday dessert that Disney executed the appearance of the closest to the PR photos. Having dined and consumed a lot of “Instagram-able” treats over the years, they really are hit or miss based on the staged photos that Disney puts out. This treat was spot on. Now, for the taste.

What we have here is essentially a bit of pudding with the overwhelming majority of the taste being icing. It’s a very sugary treat, that doesn’t have a lot of redeeming qualities, flavor-wise. That said, if you’re looking for a sugar splurge and a treat that takes a good photo, you won’t find anything better.

Holiday Cinnamon Roll – $6.49

If you’ve had a cinnamon roll from Main Street Bakery before, nothing here will surprise you. We’re fans of Disney cinnamon rolls and the festive spin on this one is fun.

Keep checking back with us throughout the day as we continue to bring you reviews of the holiday snacks offered at Magic Kingdom!
