Disney has just announced that the rest of the Disney Internships & Programs Cast Members will be sent home by April 17th. The Disney Internships & Programs will be suspended effective April 18th.
This comes after announcements of the unexpected and abrupt ending of the Disney College Program, and the furloughing of thousands of non-Union Cast Members beginning April 19th.
Disney is working with each and every Cultural Representative Cast Member to ensure they can return home safely. Participants will be paid through April 18th and receive a lump sum payment on April 9th. Disney Program housing deducations will be waived immediately.
Future Disney Internships & Program arrivals for early June 2020, including the Disney College Program, will be canceled and Disney will be refunding their program fees.
As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com for the latest Disney Parks news and photos. We’ll continue to bring you news and photos, where possible, through the Disney Parks closure due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will resume our normal coverage once the parks reopen to guests on July 11th!
Completely understandable about DELAY of FALL ADVANTAGE. But why cancel them completely????? They were to be working side by side with FALL group coming in. These kids AND families have prepared and taken care of there responsibilities with school and home to be there for DISNEY. Why so drastic when these are the kids who signed up for 7 months not 4. How dedicated is that????
Disney you really did a terrible things to some of your most devoted fans.
I don’t think the parks are reopening until there is a vaccine, which will hopefully happen in 2021.
