UPDATE: A Disney spokesperson has said that the WFTV report is incorrect. Our original story continues below.

According to a report by WFTV, Disney and Universal will provide presentations to the Orange County Task Force. In this presentation, the theme parks must provide a reopening date, which means we should finally have a reopening date for Walt Disney World. Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings must sign off on the plans before they can be submitted to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

We’ll have coverage of the task force meeting tomorrow, so keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com for the latest!

  1. it’s nice that blogmickey.com has posted this for people who are looking forward to making plans to come back to Walt Disney World

  2. After the news about the Covid19 tracking and the Governors request that the numbers be manipulated to support opening, it’s a hard NO for us until there’s a vaccine. The political stunts being pulled at this time have vaporized any confidence we had in returning any time soon. I’m sure Disney Execs are none to pleased about the tracks the Governor is throwing in the road. They are honest and actually care about the people who visit Florida while the Governor attempts to gloss over factual data. How disappointing.
