New ‘Shine Bar + Social’ Covered Porch to Open June 17th at Homecomin’

Earlier this morning, we had some exciting news to share as Homecomin’ announced their reopening set for June 17th.

We have a bit more news to share with you this morning, and it’s about the expansion that Homecomin’ was working on as Disney Springs was closed to guests. The Shine Bar + Social covered porch will also reopen on June 17th as Homecomin’ welcomes guests through the doors for the first time in nearly 3 months.

As you can see in the aerial photos below, the Shine Bar + Social is an expansion to the original structure and takes over a space that was previously used for some umbrella-covered tables. This expansion means that Homecomin’ will have complete coverage for the waterfront seating along the namesake springs for Disney Springs.

Homecomin’ is home to delicious fried chicken, mac & cheese, and more southern cooking as well as an assortment of moonshine options. Guests looking to book a reservation can do so by using the My Disney Experience app or on the Disney World website.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com for the latest Disney Parks news and photos. We’ll continue to bring you news and photos, where possible, through the Disney Parks closure due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will resume our normal coverage once the parks reopen to guests on July 11th!
