Old Bag Check Area Demolished at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Ahead of Reopening

With construction now picking up on projects around Walt Disney World, friend of the site @bioreconstruct took to the skies to see what is being worked on around the Walt Disney World Resort.

We already know that projects like the Cinderella Castle repainting have restarted and projects like the TRON Lightcycle Run have not, but @bioreconstruct was able to get some photos of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and the entrance overhaul project taking place there.

As you can see in the photos below, not only has Disney made some wonderful progress on the new bag check entrance, but they have also fully committed to using this new entrance after having demolished the old bag check area completely.

Here’s a before and after, with the before photo taken on a March 16th flight. In the following before photo, you can see the old bag check in the lower center of the photo.

In this after photo, you can see that it has been completely demolished.

Here are some more photos of the new bag check area, including a new parking lot tram loop for a changed arrival experience to the park. The new parking lot tram loop is on the left, and the existing bus loops are on the right.
