Disney Joins U.S. Travel Association to Encourage Travel in the Next 6 Months

As Disney World continues a phased reopening, Disney public relations has released a statement about a partnership with the U.S. Travel Association that encourages travel in the next 6 months.

The partnership, which is part of a new initiative called “Let’s Go There” is an effort to encourage people to begin traveling again. The “Let’s Go There” initiative conducted a survey that reported that even the act of planning a vacation made 97% of respondents happy. Seventy-one percent of respondents felt greater levels of energy when they had a trip planned in the next six months.

“The memories and experiences that travel enables cannot be replaced,” said Jill Estorino, President and Managing Director at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, and a co-chair of the Let’s Go There Coalition. “This campaign is a first step in inspiring Americans to think about planning a vacation, and encouraging them to look forward to experiencing the wonder and joy—and even magic—that only travel can offer.”

Disney cited the results of the survey and said that “it might be the right time to start thinking about your next Disney vacation”.

Of course, it’s worth noting that we’re still in the middle of a pandemic and the Florida Department of Health has issued a health advisory that says people should “avoid crowds, closed spaces and close contact”. The department website also advises that people “refrain from gatherings of more than 10 people”.

For their part, Disney has demonstrated a commitment to safety, even in the midst of a busy Labor Day Weekend in the Central Florida area.

    1. Take away the stupid ineffective masks and we would! I was going to book a last minute trip but the hubby was like, NO WAY. The masks ruin pictures, steal the magic and are extremely unhealthy. We’ll be back when the masks go away…..period.

    2. Six Flags theme parks let you take off your masks for photo shot opportunities by their staff if you are isolated from others. Disney could really sell and promote their memory maker and encourage guests to visit if they did this.

    3. Yeah, get rid of the stupid mask and social distancing rules and we’ll come back! I’m not paying crazy amounts of money for a dumbed down Disney vacation I’ll only come back to the parks when the masks & social distancing crap go away!
