Disney World Begins Selling New Annual Passes to Passholders With Expired or Cancelled Annual Passes

BlogMickey.com has learned that Disney World is, once again, selling new Annual Passes, but only to those who had previously cancelled their passes or had their passes expire after March 16, 2020.

As a result of COVID-19, Disney made many operational changes to the theme parks, including limiting capacity, cutting entertainment options, and more. Many Annual Passholders found that the new restrictions devalued their Annual Passes too much, and Disney offered them the ability to cancel their passes.

Now, it appears that Disney is allowing guests who had previously cancelled their passes, or those who had their Annual Pass expire after March 16th, the ability to purchase a new Annual Pass. Guests who are interested in purchasing a new Annual Pass, and qualify for the deal as a result of a cancelled or expired pass, should call V.I.PASSHOLDER Support at (407)-WDW-PASS. Guests are highly encouraged to make the changes at a Guest Relations location either at the Disney World theme parks or Disney Springs.

After speaking with Guest Relations Cast Members, we’re told that the ability to purchase a new Annual Pass based on an expired or cancelled Annual Pass is done on a case-by-case basis.

As we first reported, the Platinum Plus Annual Pass is not available for purchase.

    1. Talked to VIP Passholder phone agent: If you qualify, aka had a pass and cancelled or had a pass expire since March 16. You CAN purchase a new Annual pass (he was not yet clear on if this is just a renewal or a new pass, I imagine the later). You MUST pay in full for the pass. He read this straight from the email/document he received from disney, as he hadn’t yet been informed of this change and checked to see, and just read allowed what had been sent to him

The Process: You give them your information, a team will check that you qualify, and they will call you back within 48hours to offer you to make the purchase.

I just got off the phone after giving my information.

    2. Called Disney a couple of days ago… Saw a previous commenter said that you must pay in full. Talked to two different agents after the call dropped the first time and they both confirmed you could do the monthly plan. The only caveat is if you go that route you apparently have to get it done at the parks or at the Guest Relations booth at Disney Springs. They won’t do it over the phone. Heading there this weekend to see if we can get it done…
