Report: Disneyland Paris President Clarifies Announced Layoffs Don’t Apply, Other Cost Cutting Measures in Place

According to @DLPReport on Twitter, Disneyland Paris President Natacha Rafalski told her Cast Members that the announced 28,000 Cast Member layoffs don’t apply to Paris Cast.

Rafalski reportedly told Cast Members that cost cutting measures have already been put in place at Disneyland Paris, including greatly reduced park hours at Walt Disney Studios Park on weekdays due to low attendance.

Disneyland – 3,450+ Cast Members
Walt Disney World – 6,700 Cast Members

  1. One big difference with the US is that in France you have what is called “partial unemployment”, for Disneyland Paris that mean that the CM who are not working are still employed but paid by the “unemployment assurance” at 86% of their salary.
