Disney World Valet, Luggage, and Magical Express Services Provider to Lay Off 560 Employees

According to documents filed with the state, Baggage Airline Guest Services “BAGS”, will be laying off 560 employees as a result of the economic impacts of COVID-19. BAGS is the third-party provider of many of the resort convenience and airline services at Disney World.

BAGS will be laying off 180 valet positions from numerous resort locations around property. BAGS will also be laying off 180 Resort Airline Check-in employees. Both valet and Resort Airline Check-in services have been suspended at Disney World as a result of COVID-19.

While Disney has officially announced a layoff of 28,000 Cast Members, this would be an example of people who made your stay at Disney World magical that are not included in that count because they are one of many third-party operators at the parks and resorts.
