Today marked the return of the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As Disney continues to evaluate the latest health and safety recommendations from local and national officials, they have deemed it safe to reopen the sing-along, which takes place in an indoor theater.
As you’d expect, Disney continues their physical distancing protocols here, with groups spaced appropriately both in the queue and in the theater. Physical distancing markers ensure parties are separated while seated, and guests are instructed to keep their masks on at all times during the show. The theater appears to be operating at somewhere between 20-35% capacity with 9 showtimes scheduled for today. We suggest checking the My Disney Experience app or Disney World website for more info on showtimes for your next visit.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines say that people who are singing are strongly recommended to wear masks. Ironically enough perhaps is that the performers don’t actually sing during the performance, simply lip sync. That said, there are announcements before the show that the audience must keep their mask on, even while singing along.
Parties are asked to stand on dots during the pre-show to ensure physical distancing.
To encourage physical distancing inside the theater, every other row is in use, and seats are skipped between parties.
As far as the actual performance goes, the actors didn’t miss a beat, and even sprinkled in some face covering jokes! Here’s a look at the performers, all of whom did not wear masks at any point during the show.
