Guests riding the Disney Skyliner this afternoon might notice a towering structure backstage at EPCOT. As you can see in the photos below, a circular element can be seen above the treetops as crews continue to work on show elements for the upcoming Harmonious nighttime spectacular.

The circular structure will act as the centerpiece barge for the World Showcase Lagoon fireworks, water, and light show. Before we jump into the construction photos, here’s a look at the concept art for the show and centerpiece barge.

Here’s a look at the structure from aboard the Disney Skyliner.

It’s somewhat hard to provide context for just how massive this set piece is, but it appears to be roughly twice the height of the other LED screen barges, assuming that the barges that they each sit on are at the same water level. You can see one of the LED barges on the left of the photo below, just past the red crane. An aerial photo from @bioreconstruct shows that they likely are and that this set piece really is quite massive.
