It’s been a while since we checked in on the TRON Lightcycle Run canopy construction at Magic Kingdom, so we decided to head out the oldest park at Walt Disney World to check in on the project.
As you can see, canopy installation continues to wrap around the exterior portion of track. Crews are probably nearing or at 50% installation completed. To be completed is the rest of the track connecting to the giant show building, as well as a portion over the attraction entrance. Here’s what guests can see from on the ground in Tomorrowland and Storybook Circus.
Sparks fly as crews continue installation.
Over on the Storybook Circus side of the construction site, we saw crews fasten the latest piece to the rest of the canopy.
Here’s a look at the work from across Seven Seas Lagoon from the shores of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
Disney has stated that the work will be completed before Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in October 2021.
As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
I can’t wait to ride on Tron: Lightcycle run at the Magic Kingdom. Because I love Tron!
