Blizzard Beach Water Park to Reopen Today at Disney World

It’s a chilly Central Florida day today, so chilly that other area water parks like Universal’s Volcano Bay are closed, but Disney’s Blizzard Beach is scheduled to reopen today for the first time in nearly a year.

With the reopening of a water park, Disney has to adjust their pandemic-era operating procedures. Most notably, face coverings will not be permitted while experiencing water slides or in the water. A few days ago we got our first look at some of the safety protocol signage. For a more in-depth look at the signage, check out our earlier post.

Blizzard Beach will be open from 11am to 6pm, daily. There are currently no capacity restrictions in place such as the Disney Park Pass system that is in use for the four Walt Disney World theme parks, but Disney reserves the right to close the park for capacity concerns at any time.
