COVID-19 Safety Protocols Revealed for Blizzard Beach Water Park Reopening at Disney World

Disney gave select members of the media an advance tour of Blizzard Beach before it opens to guests on March 7th, and we’re getting our first look at what the safety protocols will be when it reopens.

Thanks to photos from Brooke Geiger McDonald, we have a look at how Disney will handle safety within a water park.

Some of the notable protocols include:

  • Not moving lounge chairs
  • You must be in a tube in the lazy river
  • You must only take tubes where the handle is facing downwards in the lazy river
  • You must maintain physical distancing while floating in the lazy river
  • Face coverings are required at park entry and exit
  • Face coverings are required in all merchandise and food locations
  • Face coverings are required in locker rooms, restrooms, and changing areas

Of course, previously released safety guidelines still apply, most notably that face coverings will not be permitted while experiencing water slides or in the water.
