Jingle Cruise Return Date Announced for 2026 Holiday Season

Walt Disney World says the popular Jingle Cruise returns to Magic Kingdom on Tuesday, November 3rd, bringing holiday cheer back to Adventureland. The Jingle Cruise opening date comes 10 days before the park’s holiday season begins on November 13th and 5 days before the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on November 8th. That tradition dates to 2013, when the overlay officially debuted at Magic Kingdom. Skippers, puns, and plenty of festive props are on the way!

It’s time to dock the halls as Adventureland gets an early dose of holiday cheer this year. Beginning November 3rd, the Jungle Cruise skippers swap their usual routine for a holly, jolly one. The Jingle Cruise comes complete with seasonal dรฉcor and holiday jokes along the rivers of the world.

Disney calls the overlay a “festive-yet-familiar adventure from stem to stern.” The homesick skippers decorate with items they received in the mail or made themselves, Disney says. They also unwrap a few holiday jokes to help everyone get in the spirit.

What to Expect Aboard the Jingle Cruise

Our 100+ photo tour of the 2023 opening day is the best preview of what’s ahead. It shows a candy cane-style “i” added above the “u” on the Jungle Cruise sign, holiday music and custom announcements in the queue, and a festive new name for each boat. Out on the river, a gorilla wears a Santa hat at the campsite, and the Trader Sam’s Lost & Found finale picked up holiday decorations as “Trader SAM-ta.”

Props and jokes grow over the years, so the 2026 version may look a little different from what we photographed in 2023. As we noted in our 2026 holiday guide, the ride takes about 10 minutes and layers in pun-heavy seasonal gags. Skippers also decorate the loading area with lights and seasonal touches, and hidden details wait in the queue for guests who look closely.

How This Year’s Opening Compares

The Jingle Cruise has become a reliable early arrival. It opened on November 3rd in 2023, then on November 2nd in 2024, and again on November 3rd in 2025. That makes 2026 the third November 3rd opening in four years.

Disney’s holiday offerings at Magic Kingdom begin November 13th and continue through January 6th, 2027. In 2023, the overlay stayed open through January 8th, 2024, before the classic Jungle Cruise returned. Unlike some holiday overlays that are reserved for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and then available to all on Christmas Week, the Jingle Cruise is available to all guests from the day it opens until it closes in early 2027.
