2026 Magic Kingdom Holiday Season Guide

Magic Kingdom is gearing up for the holidays again, and the holiday season runs long this year. Disney has confirmed its holiday offerings stretch from November 13 through January 6, 2027, once again turning Main Street USA and Cinderella Castle into the park’s busiest stretch of festive real estate. The castle lighting, the Jingle Cruise, and a separately ticketed party headline the slate. Here’s what’s on the calendar and what to plan around.

Magic Kingdom Holiday Season 2026: Entertainment, Decor, and a Festive Party

IN THIS ARTICLE:

  • “Frozen Holiday Surprise” returns with Anna, Kristoff, and Elsa transforming Cinderella Castle into an ice palace nightly.
  • Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away runs twice nightly, except for Very Merry party evenings.
  • The Jingle Cruise is back, with the holiday overlay bringing festive cheer… and puns.
  • Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs 25 select nights, November 8 through December 22.

The Castle Lighting and Nighttime Entertainment

The nightly centerpiece is “Frozen Holiday Surprise.” Olaf and more than 100 snowgies trim Cinderella Castle with garlands, ornaments, and wreaths before Elsa transforms it into a glowing ice palace. Anna and Kristoff join the moment, with the show transforming Cinderella Caslte and Magic Kingdom into a glowing, festive playground after the sun sets.

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away runs twice each night on non-party evenings, subject to cancellation. On nights when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes over the park, Starlight steps aside for Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. We learned the holiday classic parade would return this year when casting notices went out for inline skating performers.

Holiday Decor and Photo Spots

Magic Kingdom carries some of the most photographed holiday decor at Walt Disney World. The view down Main Street USA toward Cinderella Castle is the postcard shot, dressed for the season with garlands, lights, and trimmings throughout the park.

The Jingle Cruise Returns

The Jingle Cruise is back for 2026, sending skippers and their tramp steamers through the jungle with some holiday touches. The 10-minute ride layers in pun-heavy seasonal gags, so listen closely as your skipper works the seasonal script.

Of course, the overlay starts before you board. Skippers decorate the loading area with lights and seasonal touches, and hidden details are tucked into the queue for guests who look for them.

Specialty Bites and Beverages

We expect that there will be seasonal bites and beverages as well, although details haven’t been announced yet.

Festive Threads

Likewise, Disney has not yet announced seasonal merchandise, but you can bet that there will be plenty to buy.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event, running 25 select nights from November 8 through December 22. The event delivers ride overlays, character meets, free cookies and cocoa, and entertainment you cannot get on a standard park day, with party guests able to enter as early as 4:00pm.

Tickets go on sale July 9 for guests at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels and July 16 for everyone else, with Annual Passholder and DVC savings on select nights. We have the full party guide with dates, ticket windows, and the character lineup.
