Holiday Sleigh Rides give guests a quiet, festive break from the parks, with a horse-drawn sleigh winding along wooded trails through Fort Wilderness. Disney lists the experience as open to all ages, and the 2026 dates cover nearly all of December.

Each 25-minute ride departs from the Tri-Circle-D Ranch barn near the Settlement Bus Depot at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Disney’s listing says the $80 price includes tax. When we covered the 2022 sleigh rides, the price was $75, which makes this year’s rate $5 higher.

How to Book Holiday Sleigh Rides

Disney recommends advance reservations because rides have limited availability. Guests can book through Disney’s website or the My Disney Experience app up to 60 days before their visit, so later December dates open on a rolling basis as the month approaches. Disney also offers same-day reservations and walk-ins on a limited basis, depending on availability.

Guests pay the full price if they cancel within 24 hours of the reservation or do not show up, so it helps to book a date with a firm plan. Inclement weather can cancel a ride, but Disney says the experience otherwise takes place in rain and cold. Guests should bring their own umbrellas, ponchos, and sunscreen, since Disney does not provide them.

Getting to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch Barn

Disney asks guests to check in at the barn 15 minutes before their reservation. Guests who arrive by car park near the main entrance of Fort Wilderness and take a complimentary bus to the Settlement Bus Depot. Disney says to allow 60 minutes of transportation time for that trip. Anyone traveling from elsewhere in Walt Disney World should allow up to 90 minutes to reach the destination. Guests using a wheelchair must step up into the sleigh.

The refreshed barn is a new-ish update to Fort Wilderness. We shared Disney’s look inside the new Tri-Circle-D Ranch barn ahead of its 2020 debut. Disney says the Tri-Circle-D Ranch has a long history of housing “The Happiest Horses on Earth” that dates to before opening day of Walt Disney World.
