MagicMobile Testing Begins at Walt Disney World with Cast Member Pilot

While visiting EPCOT today, we noticed that some guests were using their smartphones to tap into the park. Of course, we immediately thought of the newly announced MagicMobile feature coming to the My Disney Experience app that allows guests to use their phone and Apple Watch as a virtual card to enter the Walt Disney World theme parks. Earlier today, we revealed all of the virtual card designs that guests will be able to choose from. We also shared more details about how seamless the entry experience will be.

According to Cast Members we spoke with at the EPCOT main entrance, some Cast Members have been asked to join a pilot program to test MagicMobile already! As you can see in the photos below, Cast Members are using their phones and Apple Watches as virtual cards to enter EPCOT.

While Disney has yet to announce a go-live date for the average guest to use MagicMobile, the fact that testing is happening already seems to bode well for a Spring rollout of the new feature!
