Following the announcement that some of the Cirque du Soleil shows will reopen, and the subsequent snubbing of the yet-to-open “Drawn to Life” at Disney Springs, the LA Times spoke with Cirque du Soleil CEO Daniel Lamarre.
In the interview, Lamarre talked briefly about the upcoming Cirque du Soleil show “Drawn to Life” and gave a timeline for the debut of the show:
It’s a tribute to Disney animation, and we felt honored to have the opportunity to do a show with the IP [intellectual property] of Disney.
We should be able to open sometime in the fall.
After multiple cancellation notices for guests who had purchased Drawn to Life tickets, this is the first positive update that confirms that the show has a future at Disney Springs.
