Disneyland Can Increase Capacity Beginning Tomorrow

According to ABC7, Disneyland and other theme parks will qualify for a bump in topline capacity beginning tomorrow, May 19th. The move is a result of Orange County California moving to the least restrictive “Yellow” tier of their reopening blueprint. At the Yellow tier, Disneyland and other theme park operators can operate at 35% of their maximum capacity. This would be an increase from the current capacity restrictions set at 25%. In the yellow tier, indoor capacity will continue to be capped at 25%, but indoor dining can bump up from 25% to 50% capacity.

Whether or not Disneyland will elect to increase capacity right away remains to be seen, but we expect that they will take advantage of the news with a gradual increase in capacity like what we’ve seen occur at Walt Disney World.
