“Standby” Added to Wait Times in My Disney Experience App, Could FastPass+ Return Soon (or Paid Option)

Disney has implemented an update in the My Disney Experience app that may suggest that a skip-the-line option may be returning soon. As you can see in the screenshots below, Disney has added the word “Standby” to wait times within the app.

Previously, the app did not include the “Standby” wording.

Could the addition of the “standby” verbiage indicate that a skip-the-line option is returning to Walt Disney World? As more and more safety measures are reduced or removed around Walt Disney World, we anticipate that FastPass+ will return – or even the long-rumored paid option with the debut of the Disney Genie app. A paid option has not been confirmed by Disney, but it is believed that Disney will be implementing such an option in the future at Walt Disney World.
