A report from the Orlando Sentinel reveals that Disney could claim up to $570 million in tax breaks for building their new Lake Nona campus that will house more than 2,000 relocated employees from California.
Documents filed with the state shows that Disney’s capital investment for the project could be up to $864 million.
Disney was approved for the Capital Investment Tax Credit program in February 2020. The more than half-billion dollar tax credit would be applied over 20 years.
The new Lake Nona campus will be between 300,000 and 400,000 square feet.
