A rudimentary ride vehicle is now stationed on the TRON Lightcycle Run roller coaster track at Magic Kingdom. This “vehicle” is used to complete envelope testing, which ensures the ride elements and props remain out of reach for guests. This is a critical part of testing as a themed roller coaster project progresses.
The testing will likely move indoors soon. The vehicle has sat in the same place for days, and it’s possible that prop installation is not yet complete indoors.
Disney will likely miss the original TRON Lightcycle Run opening deadline that they set for themselves of October 1, 2021, but they have not announced an official opening date.
