Ahead of its debut on October 19, BlogMickey.com is putting together a series of articles designed to help guests get ready for the Disney Genie suite of offerings – Disney Genie, Disney Genie+, and Individual Lightning Lane Attraction Selections. In this article, we’ll cover how to enroll in the free Disney Genie service.
In order to enroll in Disney Genie, guests will be presented with a few different avenues to access the complimentary service. First and foremost, Disney Genie is contained within the existing My Disney Experience app.
Upon initial launch, Disney Genie will be highlighted near the top of your home page. You can click on “Learn More” to be taken to the next screen. Guests will also be able to access Disney Genie by clicking on the ‘+’ circle at the bottom of the app and clicking on “My Tip Board and Day”. Finally, guests looking to access the Disney Genie service can click on the three lines on the bottom right of the My Disney Experience app and select the “My Genie Plans” button. All three options are seen below.
From there, guests will complete the following onboarding process to kick off the Disney Genie planning engine. Guests will be asked to select a date and park that they will be visiting for the day. Note, this is not the same as making a Disney Park Pass theme park reservation – that process still takes place on the Walt Disney World website.
After selecting the date and theme park of your intended visit, you’ll then put together a party to plan for.
After you’ve selected your date, park, and party, you’ll be asked to select your must-do attractions and experiences.
Can’t decide what you want to do? Disney Genie will offer some premade categories.
Disney Genie will then optimize and organize your day.
Once you have completed the onboarding process, Disney Genie will present itself via two tabs – My Tip Board and My Day. We will discuss the unique aspects of each tab in another article as we get closer to the launch of Disney Genie on October 19!
