Guests riding on the Living with the Land attraction at EPCOT might notice some set refurbishments taking place on some of the early scenes in the attraction. For those who have never been on Living with the Land, the attraction takes place in two parts. The first part is a series of environments such as an arid desert or lush rainforest that acts as a sort of primer for the second part of the attraction – a series of greenhouse environments meant to showcase techniques to provide food and nutrients in a variety of conditions.
As you can see in our photos below, the refurbishment is taking place in the first half of the attraction in the environmental sets. Large scrims cover set pieces in the desert and farmland scenes.

Living with the Land was closed unexpectedly for about 2 weeks earlier this year, but that downtime was not associated with a refurbishment. It’s unclear if the work taking place now will require any downtime soon, but Living with the Land is not currently scheduled to close for refurbishment in 2021.
