In a Destination D23 panel this afternoon focused on music in the Disney theme parks, Imagineers Tom Fitzgerald and John Dennis hinted that the EPCOT overhaul project will be completed in 2023.

The Imagineers said that that a new musical score from Pinar Toprak will debut in 2023 alongside the completion of the overhaul project.

Earlier this weekend, Disney announced that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open in summer 2022. Other announcements included naming the new World Celebration restaurant and reaffirming continued work on the Walt Disney statue that will be in the Dreamers Point area of the park.

Disney has been silent on other aspects of the EPCOT overhaul project such as the refurbishment of Spaceship Earth, Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana, the PLAY! Pavilion, and the World Celebration Festival Center.
