According to a new posting on the Disney Auditions website, Disney World is “actively seeking submissions from Stunt Actors with Tramp Wall experience for an offering at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, Florida.”
Unfortunately, the job posting does not go into detail into what live entertainment offering this position would be for, but one act that comes to mind when considering the trampoline element is the tumble monkey role in the Festival of the Lion King show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
When it returned back in May, the Festival of the Lion King show was trimmed to remove portions of the show that would encroach on physical distancing limitations in place at the time. However, distancing has largely been removed from the Walt Disney World experience, and Cast Members should be vaccinated following a policy that was since suspended.
The tumble monkey portion of the show was cut when the paired-down show returned, but this posting could tip Disney’s hand as to the return of more elements of the show.
That said, the trampoline used in the show isn’t necessarily a “wall”, so the job listing could point to a new entertainment offering altogether. For example, there could be a trampoline wall element to the new Finding Nemo show that will debut in 2022 – only time will tell.
