Final Disney Magical Express Bus Leaves Walt Disney World

It’s the end of an era.

The last Disney Magical Express bus left Walt Disney World property earlier this evening, carrying the final guests back to Orlando International Airport (MCO). The service officially ended arrivals on January 1, 2022, but has been shuttling guests back to the airport who arrived using the service.

The final bus left Disney’s Pop Century Resort this evening, carrying a handful of guests back to the airport.

The Disney Magical Express service isn’t being replaced by anything new by Disney. Instead, a variety of third-party options exist, perhaps the most popular being Mears Connect – the same vendor (and buses) that provided the Disney Magical Express service.

    1. The real value of Magical Express was the baggage handling and not dragging your own bags from and to the airport. With the extra distances you have to cover from baggage claim to the busses and even the busses to flight counter. That was a huge help that I’ll miss.

    2. I missed something somewhere… why did Disney decide to get rid of the VERY convenient Magical Express Bus system? I can understand if they may have cut SOME busses due to COVID and not many people going to WDW but 8 ALWAYS used this when I lived in Massachusetts (now we live in Florida about an hour away from WDW) and it was a GREAT service. I’m lost as why they did away with ut. Cutting costs while they raise prices 8n EVERYTHING else? SMH….
