Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has yet to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, three hours after guests first entered the park. The ride, which is heralded by many as one of the best attractions Walt Disney Imagineering has ever produced, is not without its issues. Rise of the Resistance is prone to downtime given how complex the experience is. From rotating Carousel of Progress-type systems to Tower of Terror-style drop mechanisms, the ride is as complex as it is thrilling.
Cast Members are advising guests to check the My Disney Experience app for the latest status of the attraction throughout the day.
Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster was also closed for multiple hours this morning, but reopened shortly before 11:30, bringing some much need relief to long lines for Tower of Terror and Slinky Dog Dash.
