California to Drop Indoor Mask Mandate Most Places February 15 for Vaccinated Individuals, Disneyland Likely to be Unaffected

According to a report from the AP, California will end its indoor mask mandate on February 15th. However, people who are unvaccinated will still be required to mask indoors. The mask mandate will remain in places that are considered higher-risk like public transportation and nursing homes.

The State of California implemented an indoor mask mandate back in mid-December 2021.

Disneyland is likely to keep its indoor mask mandate in place, even with the change. At Walt Disney World in Florida, an indoor mask mandate remains in place despite no mandates from state or local officials.

Disney has typically been following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations at its domestic theme parks, reimplementing an indoor mask mandate at Walt Disney World back in July 2021 and keeping it in place since then.

We expect that Disney won’t drop an indoor mask mandate at either of its domestic properties until the CDC guidance allows for it.
