According to a Disney World internal calendar, the Expedition Everest refurbishment has been extended a couple of weeks. The Disney World website currently says that Expedition Everest will be closed “from January 4 through mid-April 2022”, but the attraction is currently listed internally as under refurbishment through April 30, 2022, internally.
The guest-facing calendar on the Walt Disney World website lists the attraction as closed through at least April 22, 2022.
It’s possible that Disney has not identified a reopening date yet and will adjust the reopening at a later time. We recently saw Disney flip flop on a reopening date for Kali River Rapids as they tried to identify a reopening timeframe.
Either way, Expedition Everest is expected to be closed for at least another month and a half as Disney works on software updates for the attraction.
