It’s been a roller coaster for Disney and CEO Bob Chapek since we published the full text of an email that he sent to all Cast Members where he decided tondouble-down on not denouncing the “Don’t Say Gay Bill” in Florida. Chapek later attempted to walk back his comments in yesterday’s Shareholder meeting by saying that Disney has “always opposed the bill”. Now, Disney has released a statement about the HRC refusal to accept the pledged donation.
