Disney World has updated its face mask policy to remove the last common areas where face masks have been required – transportation. The announcement that face coverings are no longer required on monorails and buses comes a day after the TSA said that it will not enforce mask requirements on public transportation.
The Walt Disney World change is effective immediately.
Face coverings are optional for Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations, as well as Disney transportation. It is recommended Guests who are not fully vaccinated continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters and on enclosed transportation.
With this announcement, there are no more public spaces where a face mask is required with the exception of First Aid buildings.
