TSA Will Not Enforce Mask Mandate on Public Transportation

According to a report from CNBC, the TSA has said that it will no longer enforce a mask mandate on public transportation following a court ruling that said that the mandate was unlawful.

The Transportation Security Administration will not enforce the mask mandate on public transportation after the court’s ruling, a Biden administration official said. However, the CDC continues to recommend that people wear masks on public transit.

The ruling and subsequent changes from the TSA could have an imminent impact on transportation mask mandates at Walt Disney World, which was following guidance on mass transit, according to transportation Cast Members. We could see Disney drop face mask mandates on the monorail system and in its buses should the ruling and TSA changes hold.

At this time, Disney has not announced any changes to its face mask policies, which still mandate a face covering on monorails and buses.
