Disney World Begins Removing Final COVID-19 Warning Signs

One of the last holdovers from the COVID-19 pandemic are now being removed from Walt Disney World property. The signs that warned guests of the risk of COVID-19 in public places are being removed from the theme parks and resorts as Disney attempts to put COVID-19 in the rearview mirror. Here’s a look back at the signage, which is being removed from around Walt Disney World property today and in the coming days.

Disney World originally shut down in March 2020 as a result of COVID-19 concerns, reopening in July 2020 with strict health and safety protocols. From mandatory temperature checks to outdoor masking policies, capacity restrictions to physical distancing, the Walt Disney World theme parks have been in a “phased reopening” for more than two years. Now, Disney is looking to get back to “normal” and with that edict, guests will no longer see COVID-19 warning signs.

Disney still has COVID-19 disclaimers on its website as of publish time. Guests are also still required to acknowledge a COVID-19 liability waiver when making a required Disney Park Pass reservation.
