According to an update to the Walt Disney World website, Disney has removed wording that pertains to 6ft physical distancing in stores and restaurants.
Previously, the physical distancing wording in the health and safety section of the Walt Disney World website had the following wording:
Temporary adjustments are still in place to promote physical distancing. While we will reduce physical distancing measures for Guests across many areas with a gradual, phased approach, six-feet distancing measures will continue in all dining locations, merchandise stores and in areas where Guests can temporarily remove their masks.
Now, any wording that requires Disney World to implement 6ft physical distancing anywhere in their theme parks and resorts has been removed:
Adjustments are still in place to promote physical distancing for Guests. These measures will be reduced in a gradual, phased approach.
By removing that wording, Disney is freed up a bit with regards to their self-implemented policies and reduce physical distancing in their shops and restaurants. We’ve already noticed that some outdoor dining locations have reduced physical distancing following the update.
Disney also recently changed their policy on mask requirements for outdoor theaters. Guests are no longer required to wear a face mask in outdoor theaters.
