Characters Roaming Freely Again Within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Characters are, once again, roaming at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This marks the first time since March 2020 that guests have been able to give Chewbacca a hug or been told to move out of the way by a Stormtrooper.

    Physically distanced characters

While roaming characters returned to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland some time ago, the policy change only took effect recently at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests may still see characters using platforms like the Speeder Garage or Tie Echelon landing platform, but guests should also find characters like Rey and Chewbacca no longer behind gates but roaming around Batuu freely instead.

Unfortunately, even with the return of roaming characters, Disney has not announced any intentions to bring new characters like Boba Fett or Grogu to Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

    1. If Boba Fett, Mando, Grogu, and Fennec Shand were to apear, I imagine WDW would put the four of them in The Star Wars Launch Bay instead of Galaxy’s Edge because WDWs GE is much big and wider in scale compared to DisneyLands GE, The reason Boba Fett Fennec Shand can wander freely in Disneyland’s GE is because its small and compact where as WDWs version is much larger and wider and sense These characters are EXTREMELY popular, I imagine people will be Flocking to see them as soon as they arrive.
