Fourth of July Fireworks Appear to be Returning to Disney World in 2022

As we look ahead towards summer, Disney World may have tipped off their plans to bring back Fourth of July fireworks this year after not having them since 2019 due to COVID-19.

Recently, we were looking at the theme park schedules for early July and noticed that Disney Enchantment isn’t scheduled to run on July 3rd and 4th. Typically, Magic Kingdom has the “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” fireworks on July 3rd and 4th in lieu of the typical nightly fireworks show.

Here’s a look at the early July entertainment schedule for Magic Kingdom:

Disney has not formally announced the return of the Fourth of July fireworks yet, but we assume that the “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” fireworks show will fill in the blank space on the schedule above.

There’s no word on if Harmonious at EPCOT will have the special “Heartbeat of Freedom” finale like IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth had in the past. Back in 2019, Disney said that it would be “the last chance to experience the patriotic Fourth of July grand finale of this beloved nighttime spectacular.” Here’s a look back at the impressive Heartbeat of Freedom tag from 2017!
