According to a report from the Orlando Sentinel, a federal judge quickly dismissed a lawsuit targeting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his actions to dismantle the Reedy Creek Improvement District. The lawsuit was dismissed, in part, because of the court’s lack of standing over state issues and due to the fact that the bill doesn’t take effect until next summer.

William Sanchez, a Miami lawyer and Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, said that this is just the first step of planned action against DeSantis.

The Walt Disney Company has been largely silent over the passing of a bill that will dissolve the Reedy Creek Improvement District.
