Disney has seemingly shelved the Spaceship Earth overhaul indefinitely as it was completely left out of the latest concept art showcasing the future of EPCOT.
In the overview below of World Celebration, we can see that there are no modifications to the “back” of Spaceship Earth, aka Project Tomorrow.
First, here’s a look at previously released concept art for a modified post-show area for Spaceship Earth.
And here’s a look at the latest concept art released by Disney, which shows the same structure in place that is open today.
At this point, it’s unclear if Spaceship Earth will ever receive a much-needed refurbishment and/or update to the attraction. For more details about the previously announced Spaceship Earth overhaul, check out our article below.

I’m disappointed that Disney is gonna abandon Spaceship Earth. The rides aging track system needs to be replaced.
I’m not sure that the “modified post show area” in the older rendition is even the Spaceship Earth building. It might be an early concept for Connections Cafe with Spaceship Earth behind.
