While most of our coverage of the facade modifications at the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. has focused on the exterior of the building, we wanted to take a look inside the Space Mountain gift shop as well.
We’ll start from the outside and take a look at the walls that will eventually lead to the main pathway to the TRON Lightcycle Run roller coaster.
Walking inside, the space is a little darker due to multiple doorways on the left side of the building blocked due to the exterior work, but the back of the venue is a little lighter than usual thanks to some window blocking taken down during the construction.
Starting at the front left of the gift shop, we see some true innovation with the installation of a merchandise display unit attached to a construction wall.
Moving on, we see mostly blacked-out doorways along the left side of the shop. We expect that these will return when the exterior work is completed.
At the back of the shop, we can see what will likely be a new ingress/egress area when construction is completed.
Here’s what the exterior looks like for the same corner of the gift shop.
Other than that, the shop is basically operating normally and remains open to guests.
