Shanghai Disney Resort to Resume Select Operations June 10th

    It looks like Shanghai Disney Resort, the only Disney theme park in the world currently closed due to COVID-19 concerns, is slowly getting ready to reopen. According to the theme park’s website, select operations will resume on June 10th:

    Shanghai Disney Resort’s Wishing Star Park, the World of Disney Store, and Blue Sky Boulevard will resume operations on June 10, 2022.

    Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown and the two resort hotels remain closed until further notice.

    Upon reopening, each of these resort locations will operate at limited capacity and reduced hours of operation:

    • Wishing Star Park will operate from 9:00 to 17:00
    • World of Disney Store will operate from 9:00 to 19:00
    • Blue Sky Boulevard will operate from 8:00 to 19:00, subject to actual operations

    The Lakeshore Boat Rental service on Wishing Star Lake will resume operations on the same day. Guests may refer to the Shanghai Disney Resort Official App for the latest information.

    The Disney Car and Coach Park will also reopen on June 10, operating from 8:00 to 20:00, with the following special rates available prior to the reopening of Shanghai Disneyland: RMB 30 per entry per day from Monday to Friday, and RMB 50 per entry per day on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. The benefit of select Shanghai Disney Resort parking for Diamond Annual Pass holders will not be applicable during this period. The Disneytown parking lot remains closed at this time.

    As the health and safety of guests and Cast Members remains of the utmost importance, the resort will continue to implement strict pandemic control and prevention requirements, with new additional measures and operational changes following guidelines from local authorities during the initial reopening period:

    • All locations will operate at a controlled capacity upon reopening;
    • All guests, regardless of age, will be required to present a green Shanghai Health QR Code (“Suishenma”) and a negative Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) taken within 72 hours (from sampling time) prior to entering Shanghai Disney Resort. Guests are strongly recommended to register for their Shanghai Health QR Code via the Suishenban App, Weixin/WeChat or Alipay prior to their arrival. For guests without a smart phone, please bundle your QR code with a family member via the Suishenban App, Weixin/WeChat or Alipay. An offline Suishenma, applied via the Government Online-Offline Shanghai (“Yiwangtongban”) platform, with valid NAT information will also be accepted for those without a smart phone. Guests using the offline Suishenma will be required to present a valid government ID to our Cast at the same time. Please present your offline Suishenma to our onsite Cast to scan and verify the information. Please understand that any guest who fails to present a Shanghai Health QR Code with a valid NAT report as aforementioned, including guests holding a 24-hour NAT test sampling proof but without a negative NAT taken within 72 hours, will not be able to enter the resort;
    • All guests will also be required to scan the “Venue Code” and present a green code to Cast, or present the Shanghai Health QR Code to onsite Cast for scanning to confirm the validity, upon entering Shanghai Disney Resort. Additional scanning of the Venue Code may also be required upon entering different locations across the resort, including Wishing Star Park and World of Disney Store;
    • All guests will continue to be required to undergo temperature screening upon entering Shanghai Disney Resort;
    • All guests will be required to wear masks during their entire visit to the resort in both indoor and outdoor settings, except when dining;
    • All guests will be required to strictly follow social distancing requirements, and a safe distance of one meter should be kept while queuing or dining;
    • All guests will be encouraged to maintain good personal hygiene;
    • All Cast Members, tenant employees at Disneytown and third-party vendors will be required to undergo regular NAT and antigen tests as well as conduct temperature screening and recording following government requirements;
    • Sanitization and disinfection will be increased and strengthened throughout the resort.
