Space Mountain Cleaning & Repainting Now Visible From Inside Magic Kingdom

As Space Mountain continues to be spruced up for the opening of TRON Lightcycle Run, crews are now visible from inside Magic Kingdom. Previously, cleaning and repainting was only visible from outside of the park, but we took a spin on the PeopleMover earlier today and spotted the work. The work is taking place as part of a previously planned maintenance on Space Mountain to give the aging structure a touchup before TRON Lightcycle Run opens April 4, 2023. Here’s a look!

A closer look shows how porous the structure is – likely the reason why it shows dirt regularly.

While the work above was taking place on the north side of the building, here’s a look at the south side of Space Mountain.

Space Mountain will remain open to guests throughout the work.
