Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Now Closed for Lengthy Refurbishment at Hollywood Studios

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is now closed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as the 23-year-old attraction undergoes a lengthy refurbishment. There are no expected story changes to the attraction, but some much-needed TLC will be bestowed upon one of the most popular rides at the park. Disney World has not identified a reopening date beyond “Summer 2023”. Cast Members we spoke with expected the refurbishment to last between 4-6 months, but nothing is set in stone.

We visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios today to take a look at the area, which still remains open to guest traffic due to Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy nearby. Here’s a look at signage for the closure as well as a couple of games that proved to be quite popular with the post-Racing Academy crowd.
