Disney vs DeSantis: Court to Rule on Recusal of Chief Judge Mark Walker

In a new filing this afternoon, Chief Judge Mark E. Walker has acknowledged that the court has received yesterday’s pre-trial timeline but has said that no further action will be taken on the case by the court until a ruling has been announced on a Motion to Dismiss Walker himself. Walker will have to consider and rule on a DeSantis motion to disqualify the Judge based on alleged prejudiced statements. Essentially, the case is at a bit of a standstill until Judge Walker decides if he will take the case or not.

The DeSantis legal team has also indicated that it intends to file a motion to dismiss parts of the case, or the case in its entirety, but has not filed the motion as of publish time.
