The Canada Far & Wide show will remain open during the 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival this year, bucking the trend of using the indoor space as a festival location called Appleseed Orchard. BlogMickey.com spoke with Cast Members who said that Canada Far & Wide would continue operations this summer, and the 12-minute show is listed on the Walt Disney World website as having uninterrupted operating hours.

The Appleseed Orchard debuted in 2019 as an indoor Food & Wine Festival “booth” in an effort to provide guests some reprieve from the summer sun as the Food & Wine Festival started earlier and earlier in the year. In 2020, the Appleseed Orchard was moved into the World Showplace tent as part of COVID-impacted operations but returned to the Canada Far & Wide theater for 2021 and 2022.

Now, we’re told that Disney will explore new options this year as the typical late-June closing date has passed. Cast Members we spoke with were unsure what the future of the Appleseed Orchard will be, but we hope that Disney is able to utilize the World Showplace tent again to provide shade and air conditioning when the Food & Wine Festival kicks off July 27th.

Disney World has not announced a full list of Global Marketplaces for the 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, but we should be getting more information any day now.

Canada Far & Wide is a 360-degree show narrated by Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy that takes guests through the various provinces and showcases what makes each unique and special to the country.
