Earlier this morning, the distribution of the 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival passport was delayed following what Cast Members told us was a “misprint”. Distribution of the Festival Passport was likley delayed while Cast Members applied stickers to the Refreshment Port page following a last-minute removal of the much-beloved BeaverTail item.
Here’s a look at the Festival Passport that was distributed to guests shortly before 11am this morning. We noticed that a sticker was applied to the page and thought that it might be related to the “misprint” that Cast Members told us about earlier this morning.
As you can see in the photo below, the Cinnamon-Sugar Beaver Tail is printed on the passport, but simply covered by a sticker with the correct menu.
The BeaverTails is a registered trademark owned by BeaverTails Brands Inc. On their website, BeaverTails says “like any trademark, [BeaverTails] must never be used as a noun or descriptor and can only be used with the owner’s consent. Authentic BeaverTails® pastries are only available at authorized BeaverTails® stores, a listing of which can be found on this website. Happy tasting!”
It’s possible that Disney World did not get consent from BeaverTails and had to pull the item from their listing at the last minute. Disney has remained quiet about the removal of the item.
