Back in July, we noticed that there were some theater upgrades underway at Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom. The storied attraction was receiving a refresh of the seating and carpet in the rotating theaters as part of a property-wide refresh of upholstery in theaters. While visiting Magic Kingdom today, we stopped by to check on the project and found that four of the six theaters had received updates.

The refreshed theaters utilize the same color scheme throughout, with the only notable difference being that a couple of the theaters aren’t accessible, but I don’t believe that the seat layout has changed.
Here’s a look inside a few of the different theaters. From what we noted, theaters 1-2, and theaters 5-6 have been updated so far.
It’s unclear if any show changes are in the works, but the finale scene aesthetics were updated back in 2022.
Here’s a look at the “before”, which is the “current” for two of the six theaters.
