A new audition notice has been posted by Walt Disney World, seeking new variety acts for EPCOT. The notice says that Disney Live Entertainment is accepting online submissions for variety acts of up to five performers to perform as atmosphere entertainment at EPCOT. Disney says that the acts will be contracted as needed, which would suggest seasonal or non-permanent work.

The audition notice says that Disney is seeking “fun-filled entertainment for diverse audiences of different ages, including families with children”. Examples that Disney gives include Magicians, Jugglers, Physical Comedians, Performance Artists, Visual Acts, Solo/Duo Dance Team, Acts Using Technology, and unique multi-disciplinary acts.
The notice says that Disney is specifically excluding musical acts, fire breathing or fire juggling acts, balloon artists, animal acts, face painters or caricature artists.
Currently, the Forces of Nature acrobatic show is contracted through March 2025. It’s unclear if this new audition notice is to replace that show or if the new variety acts will be in addition to the Forces of Nature show. It’s also possible that the atmosphere entertainment will be located in other spaces of EPCOT beyond the central World Celebration Gardens area.
